How true!
According to the Lewiston Morning Tribune, Lewiston has been ranked as the Sixth Safest Small Town of under 150,000 in the nation by Farmer's Insurance Group. Factors examined were crime rate, risk of natural disasters, and even weather--- making us one of the best cities for safety, security, healthy life style and prosperity in the nation. Shhhh! Don't tell!
We came in as more desirable than Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at number 18, and Bend, Oregon at number 10. I LOVE both of those towns, and visit them often to shop and for events, but prefer our easy life style to both of them. We are so close to the amenities offered in the larger, metropolitan areas, yet can enjoy our easy livin' and banana belt weather here in the Valley.
Did you know it takes me 8 minutes in rush hour trafic to travel 4 miles from home to the office- the drive entails 2 states, and across a scenic river! There are only 2 traffic lights! It is enjoyable to see the 360 degree views of snow covered mountains, crisp blue water that does not freeze in the river, and the miles of open foothills and terrain on the horzon.
Safe. Dependable, Easy to get around. That is Lewiston, Idaho! How many stop lights do you cross on your way to work?
